Sad farewell…..

I´ve got the sad news that my lovely friend Faith, Illustrator and Owner from {From the Heart Stamps} has passed away. As many of you know, Faith was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2016 and had been in treatment since then. After a courageous battle she died peacefully in a care facility.

I´ve been with Faith since 2012 and and was very honored to got a Position in her Designteam. Since then, we had a wonderful respectful and creative time – together with the entire Team. I will miss it very much. Everyone who knew Faith, knows what a great Person she was.  Even if I have never met her personally, I have lost a wonderful “Online Friend”. She will always have a special place in my heart.

There is a GoFundMe campaign to support her husband and children. They will use the money for expenses, college funds, or whatever else come up during this difficult time. I think that is a great thing.

 

 

I think the most popular images that Faith has created were the Birdbrains. This card I made some time ago and all the more now, this saying is perfect for what I feel when I think of Faith.

I have the honor to CASE a card from our very talented Jo Edwards. I looked at her blog, went back to Oct, 2015 and decided to case a Christmas Card because I like the layout and the CAS style. I used the same image, the same layout but a different embossing folder, different colors, and design paper. I am happy about the result and I hope Jo and you like it as well.

It´s midweek Inspiration Day  at {From the Heart Stamps}.  I always need to fill up my Birthday Card stash so i went with “Hippie Chick Birdbrain”  and this super matching Designpaper i found at Aldi.  Es ist Mitte der Woche und wieder Inspirationstag auf {From the Heart Stamps} begonnen. Ich muss ständig meinen Geburtstagskarten Vorrat auffüllen, deshalb habe ich mich für “Hippie Chick Birdbrain” und diesem super passenden Designpapier entschieden, welches ich bei Aldi gefunden habe.

Moday started another fabulous {i heart Sketches with a tWiSt} Challenge at {From the Heart Stamps}. This time i chose the Colors and made a Christmas/Winter Card using “In the Meadow”  . Montag hat wieder eine großartige {i heart Sketches with a tWiSt} Challenge auf {From the Heart Stamps} begonnen. Dieses Mal habe ich mich für die Farben entschieden und eine Weihnachts-Winterkarte mit “In the Meadow” gemacht.
