From the Heart Stamps – Challenge # 137

Monday started another fabulous Sketch Challenge with a tWiSt over at {From the Heart Stamps}. For this Sketch, i immediately thought of the “Lighthouse” image and with this color combination it has become a pretty masculine card.

From the Heart Stamps begonnen.

To make the background a bit more interesting i used a stencil. The twine, i´ve kept from a package which fits nicely in color for this card. The anchor is a nice accent for this maritime theme.

Love nautical cards and your take on the sketch. I like the stenciled background, you’ve made it look like waves. Brilliant!

This is an extremely powerful use of paper, space, and color! The angular cut of your band piece is striking and keeps the eye focused. Love the image and the subtle use of color. This is a very thoughtful and well executed design. Thanks for sharing at A Place To Start!
